The Exchange Club has participated in the Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival each year since it began in 1998. The club also participated annually in the original Richmond Hill Seafood Festival, which ran from 1985 to 1989. Operating a food booth each October in the Seafood Festival provides much-needed funds to run our various community service projects, and also is a fun time for all members who participate. Over the years we have served Shrimp Gravy, which has always been a big hit. In 2003 and 2004, we served Jambalaya and Crab Stew, both of which were crowd favorites. We operated a full booth at the 2004 Seafood Festival, which gave us twice as much room. Chef Harry Brigdon and Mayor Richard Davis were ready to go, with their assistant chefs, Mark Schaefer and Matt Conner. Thanks to all the hard work of our members and friends, this was a another successful year, and we are all looking forward to October, 2005.
